The above video is of the Fr. Kumse Annual Memorial Day Bike Trip from Collinwood to Harpersfield, Ohio. The trek is about 47 miles with participants joining all along the way. This 20+ year tradition starts after morning Liturgy at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Collinwood. There are designated meeting places, like Denny's Restaurant in Willoughby, and an ice cream shop in Painseville. At those points, additional participants meet, and the "flock" grows from 4-6 bikers in Collinwood to 20-30 by the end of the trek. There isn't a definitive story as to how the popularity of this event grew, but riders of all ages come together once a year, despite obstacles like parades and headwinds.
