Tone Kuntner Presentation at Slovenian Museum and Archives

Tone Kuntner, renowned actor, poet, and author visited the Slovenian Museum and Archives on Thursday, November 19, 2009. Mr. Kuntner presented and discussed his new book, Moj Svet – My World. This event was co-sponsored by the Consulate General of the Republic of Slovenia and the Slovenian Museum and Archives. Jurček Žmauc, Consul General of the Republic of Slovenia, introduced Tone Kuntner to a large audience at the museum. Mr. Kuntner started the evening by reciting a poem by Ivan Cankar in honor of his homeland of Slovenia. Those who attended were captivated by Mr. Kuntner's dramatic and artful presentation of his latest voluminous collection of poems. In addition to the Slovenian presentation, Mrs. Ivana Yuko, archivist at the Slovenian Museum and Archives, presented the English translation in a lively and meaningful manner. Following the presentation, Mr. Kuntner signed copies of his book and the audience was treated to light refreshments and wine from the Maribor region of Slovenia, home to Mr. Žmauc and Kuntner.
