The 2014 AMLA Children’s Christmas Party took place on Sunday, December 7, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Slovenian National Home on St. Clair Avenue in Cleveland. Rising virtuoso and American born organist, 26 year-old Professor Nathan Laube, appointed to the faculty in 2013 of the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, as an Assistant Professor of Organ, will perform an organ recital on Dec. 7, 2014 in St. Vitus Church, 6019 Lausche Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44103. An all parish Mass at 10AM will precede the organ recital. Mass and organ recital are open to the public. The organ recital is no admission charge, followed by private invitation only reception in the lower church hall.  Good-will offerings will be accepted. Professor Laube is the grandson of Ludvik and Mara Kolman, Slovenian immigrants forced to flee Slovenia to lower Austria at the end W.W. II. They lived for five years in a displaced camp and then immigrated to Chicago, Illinois. Nathan’s mother is of Slovenian descent and his father of German descent. He grew up in Chicago.
